Zhejiang Normal University Scholarships for outstanding students:

"Zhejiang Normal University Scholarship for Outstanding Students”(hereinafter to be referred as "Zhejiang Normal University Scholarship") is launched in order to attract more outstanding students to study in our school, create a favorable and international culture environment for the campus, and constantly improve the university's international reputation, as well as encourage foreign students to work hard and get well-rounded.

Zhejiang Normal University, founded in 1956, is located in economically developed Zhejiang Province in the east coastal area ofChina. It is a provincial key comprehensive and multidisciplinary university and is one of the top 100 universities inChina. The main campus is located in Jinhua, a historical and cultural city in the middle part of Zhejiang. The city enjoys convenient transportation. It takes only 90 minutes from Jinhua to Shanghai by high-speed rail. The university has more than 140 cooperative institutions of higher learning in over 40 countries and regions. There are more than 1,500 foreign students studying in the campus now.

l Scholarship for Outstanding Doctorate Students

Each of the categories above includes different types of scholarships. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens, with good healthy condition,WITplicants shall be hns of higher learning aged between 16 and 35. The scholarship recipients can apply for accommodation in the campus, but the room, water and electricity fees are at their own expense.

2. Application requirement and evaluation system

l Application requirements:

a. With foreign nationality and passports.

b. Have good health condition.

c. Good academic performance.

d. No criminal records.

e. No other scholarships.

l Evaluation system:

a. The selection committee of “Zhejiang Normal University Scholarship” will evaluate applicants’ materials under the principle of “justice, fairness and openness”.

b. Students who get the scholarship need to attend the annual scholarship evaluation. The scholarship will be terminated if a student has one of the following cases:

Defaulting the fees he/she has to pay.

Receiving academic warning or drop out warning.

Breaking university rules or the Chinese laws.

Applicants shall hand in the following documents (with a duplicate copy).

a. Digital copy of Application Form for Zhejiang Normal University Scholarship (Word version).

b. Digital copy of Personal Information of Zhejiang Normal University Scholarship Applicants(Word version).

c. Photocopy of passport photo page.

d. Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English

The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.

e. Notarized highest education diplomas attained, proof of study and transcripts (need to be translated into Chinese or English, and confirmation of your former school or local department).

f. Studying plans and goals.

g. Two letters of recommendation from your teachers

5. Announcements

a. Inconformity of the passport name used in the applicant documents with the scanning copy, or deficiency in conformation materials will be regarded as nullity.

b. Applicants who get the scholarship but can not arrive on time should inform us on paper and explain the reasons by 15 days before the registration day, otherwise the scholarship will be canceled and can not be applied again.

c. Students who fail in the entrance physical examination will not receive the scholarship.
